Saudi EXIM Bank Signs Two Cooperation Agreements with Japan's SMBC and MUFG Banks

During the Saudi-Japanese Vision 2030 Business Forum held in Tokyo, the Saudi Export-Import Bank (Saudi Exim) signed two cooperation agreements with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG). These agreements aim to develop collaboration and explore joint financing opportunities to support the growth of Saudi non-oil exports in target markets.

The agreements were signed by H.E. Eng. Saad bin Abdulaziz Al-Khalb, CEO of Saudi EXIM Bank, along with Mr. Akihiro Fukudome, CEO of SMBC, and Mr. Hironori Kamezawa, CEO of MUFG.

H.E. Eng. Saad Al-Khalb emphasized that the two agreements reflect joint efforts to strengthen economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Japan as part of the Saudi-Japanese Vision 2030. This vision extends the robust economic cooperation between the two nations, paving the way for broader horizons, considering their economic strength and promising investment opportunities.

 During the roundtable meeting of leading companies, H.E. Eng. Al-Khalb reviewed Saudi EXIM Bank's initiatives in collaboration with Japanese financial institution and commercial entities to bolster economic and trade relations. Furthermore, during the financial sector's roundtable meeting, he emphasized the importance of integrated efforts between financial institutions and business sectors to provide comprehensive credit solutions that accelerate the pace of bilateral and global trade and investments.
