The Council of Ministers approves the establishment of the bank

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, chaired, on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, the session held by the Saudi Council of Ministers at Al-Yamamah Palace.

The Saudi Cabinet approved the regulation of the Saudi Export-Import Bank. The bank aims to enhance the development and diversification of Saudi exports and increase their competitiveness, by providing export financing services, guarantees, and export credit insurance with competitive advantages, in order to enhance confidence in Saudi exports, enter new markets, reduce the risk of non-payment, and provide credit facilities.

The approval of the Council came after reviewing the two recommendations submitted by the Council of Economic and Development Affairs No. (13-1 / 41 / D), dated 6 Muharram 1441 AH, and No. (34-14 / 41 / D), dated 7 Jumada al-Uola 1441 AH.
