Demonstrating its crucial role in establishing international partnerships and supporting Saudi non-oil exports, Saudi EXIM Bank participated in the annual TXF conference held in Lisbon, Portugal, from June 15-16, 2023.
The TXF conference, a global event attracting experts and enthusiasts in export financing, agencies, and global projects, welcomed participation from over 50 countries. The conference brought together various ministers, CEOs, and key investors. Over the two days, the event featured a series of discussions and workshops led by 130 speakers. In addition, the conference celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special event.
Represented by its CEO, Eng. Saad bin Abdulaziz Al-Khalb, Saudi EXIM Bank participated in a panel discussion on export financing and product innovation. The CEO highlighted the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, emphasizing the importance of diversifying the country's economy through the strengthening of Saudi exports.
During the panel discussion, it was emphasized that the Saudi EXIM Bank plays a significant role in diversifying the economy and increasing non-oil exports. The CEO expressed the bank's primary objective of ensuring that no cross-border export transaction from Saudi Arabia fails due to a lack of insurance or financing. He also emphasized the wide range of investment opportunities available in various sectors to contribute to the national Giga projects.
It is worth noting that the Saudi Export-Import Bank was established in February 2020. It is dedicated to bolstering the Saudi non-oil economy in international markets by addressing financing gaps and mitigating risks faced by exporters. This aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which aims to increase the proportion of non-oil exports to 50% of the gross domestic product by 2030.
